An Initiative in the Age of the Spider

One of the most beautiful things you can hear from Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud describing the life of the spider — he says: “It is a model of treachery and slander and conspiracy, with all that it contains of degraded behaviors from cliquishness to aggression and theft; it is the lowest of God’s creatures on the face of the earth.” How similar is this description and its political projections to our present time, in light of all these dangerous entanglements between politics and economy and war and propaganda with its spider-like network. Whoever will live in the Age of the Spider must know in advance the laws that regulate it and all that it is characterized by, and you will not find a formulation that suits what we live as daily Middle Eastern fires more than this — more eloquent and indicative that we have, metaphorically, become in its midst, indeed at a great peak of its manifestations and all its effects in our reality. It is the age of the trinity of fundamentalisms of myth and prehistory; it is an age in which the religious is entangled with the political and the economic — an entanglement the public can no longer untie or decipher its talismans.

Who among us did not see Vladimir Zelensky’s rebuke live on air, and the red carpet spread for Vladimir Putin in Alaska, to then turn after a few weeks into negotiations to supply Zelensky with Tomahawk missiles — and Russia became a paper tiger that Ukraine could defeat and recover its lands from, while weeks earlier it was losing the war? Who among us did not see Benjamin Netanyahu on the podium of the United Nations declaring that there is no famine in Gaza nor genocide — broadcast live — and that the establishment of a Palestinian state on the land of Israel is like establishing an Al-Qaeda state beside New York? Who did not see Ali Larijani’s visit to Lebanon in the wake of all that took place to mobilize what remained of the shards of arms and to confront a confrontation that had ended months before, in a scene that lights up the Raoucheh rock in Beirut — while Gaza, into which his axis inserted the spider’s house, made it and its people land of ruin and death spreading hour by hour.

As for inside the spider’s house — words fail — each eats the other; if one does not find what swallows him, then in the spiders’ mating season competitors abound to present gifts as distraction so they may pursue their suppressed instinctual lusts. Thus Gaza and Lebanon were offered as a token of lust but did not be spared; this one presented Qatar as a favored arena to exercise revenge-driven instinctual responses; and so on — and apply this to much of what happens in the arena of the nations’ struggle in the kingdom of the spider: it swallows chicks it just produced, among them the young influential right-leaning Charlie Kirk, who filled the king of spiders’ ballot boxes with the voice of American youth.

He more than fills the world and occupies people with riddles and lies and treachery par excellence — he is the crowned king of the Age of the Spider and the spider network: Donald Trump. His tale started from inside America before outside it, and his spider network has swallowed the door of the people. Who believes that a person branded with the essence of earthly corruption would be the new savior for all the offshoots of the global brutalization of capitalism and its degradation — making the market of all evils into supposed superior values — until the world pantingly follows him in a “believe it or not” fashion, between a maker of peace and war, the transfusion of soldiers’ blood on the fronts and Tomahawk missiles, from a ministry of defense to a ministry of war, unifying military concepts consistent with the Age of the Spider: great always in speech and always a failure in deed; he says things and does not mind saying the opposite hours later. Stranger than what he does is that you still find those who believe one word of what he says. But this trait must be gotten used to by anyone who decides to be part of the spider-kingdom: in it everything is permissible and there is room only for the always predatory strong.

An initiative of twenty-one points launched by the king of spiders in his meeting with seven Arab and Islamic countries — and next to him the Yemeni second runner-up of the Age of the Spider in the Middle East, Tayyip Recep Erdoğan — and missing from his left was his first runner-up Benjamin Netanyahu, of whom space and words are insufficient; he is of another mold that rises above interests and courtesies, he is of the spider-kingdom’s people not newly naturalized. He explains its broad and great lines and takes off, and they are the sum of all his failed initiatives so far which have not stopped a war nor prevented killing and destruction, rather they gave Benjamin Netanyahu all the time he needed to finish an intractable task. Arabs and Muslims admired what they heard from the explanation and praised it and took nothing as they were about to leave, for the broad lines need explanations and details and premises and timings and tightening of loopholes — things Kushner, Tony Blair and Dreemer have not finished — and above all that, discussions not yet completed with the first runner-up about the importance and the making of circumvention routes leading to their tools and their five impossibilities.

A few days and he appears beside his first runner-up Benjamin Netanyahu, after a fuss of strenuous efforts his aides exerted to convince the first runner-up of it — who is the most knowledgeable of all its details and ways to circumvent it — so twenty remained after he swallowed what concerned the West Bank and pledged what he had sworn to himself not to annex; he recites and recites, and when he reaches the password of the whole ongoing conflict and the solution of the two states, he prefaces decisively by removing Jerusalem from the conflict because he decided in his first term that it be the capital of his first runner-up, and he greatly understands Benjamin Netanyahu’s rejection of establishing a Palestinian state beside him, and he understands what some countries did in recognizing the Palestinian state, but the drafting requirements forced the need to reference it in routes that are almost closer to impossible — so there is no opinion yet even if their rulers and de facto rulers complete all the prerequisites for it.

His first runner-up answers that his acceptance of the plan came based on its consistency with the five objectives he set for the war, neglecting to say that it was drafted in this manner to match his five conditions. As for the Palestinian rulers, their road to acceptance is long merely by their existence as partners in what is happening, and the circumvention route prepared for them is almost impossible — he is the one who over thirty years has most cleverly crafted it. And most importantly, the de facto rulers of Gaza, between death or suicide — they will decide this matter themselves and no one else; according to the timings of the spider-kingdom for the ongoing operations in Gaza, it is not yet complete — there are still towers standing in Tal al-Hawa, exhausted people packed in Beach Camp, tents scattered in the sands and around Al-Shifa, explosive robots in preparation after being exhausted to the last, and all that needs at least a day for each item of its twenty items from the day it was launched; the death machine works on the ground full speed and around the clock. The remaining acts of cleansing and blowing up and leveling the place to the last can be completed after give-and-take and marathon negotiations between world capitals that may need three days for each item, and thus by the beginning of the new year there will be nothing left to negotiate. This is how things are run in the spider-kingdom, and whoever does not accept its terms must wait for another initiative and a third and a fourth… etc.

If the title of the initiative and the Supreme Peace Council are drumbeaters, and the dancers know how to dance to its rhythm no matter how out of tune, the fault is no longer theirs but the listeners and recipients of its out-of-tune melody; who believes Donald Trump by one word, and who expects his team to disagree or sing off-key — he is deluded in every sense of the word. Kushner needs no introduction; he is the hero of the Deal of the Century with all it contains before October 7. Tony Blair is America’s godfather and its policies in the Middle East; he is the hero of passing nuclear and chemical and biological lies about Iraq. Witkoff (or Witkof) is another story — he overturned on himself and his plan when Benjamin Netanyahu needed more time.

Conclusion:
There is no longer room to blame the Palestinians; we are now facing a reality from which there is no disentanglement, with Arab and Islamic approval and powerful forces in the world. There is no way for the one who put the donkey to call the call to prayer for people except to remove him from there, and as long as he is incapable of doing that, he must disappear from the Palestinians’ lives forever, burn his papers and the remains of his weapons and tunnels and the dreams he planted among the masses of the desperate, so that his real rulers can address what they can of the imbalances. Time is no longer on the side of the homeless in the streets and those who lost everything; do not deprive them of a hope that may remain for staying alive. Stagnation in place and crafty buying of time and counter-responses — this is what the spider and his first runner-up await; time has not been on the Palestinians’ side since the war began two years ago. He who warned you at the beginnings repeats it for the thousandth time: get them out of the Palestinians’ lives, for the sake of a people drunk on blood and destruction. Parties were created for the freedom and welfare of peoples and not for their annihilation. If anything can be seen from the goblet that drips poison in the spider’s initiative, it is a halt to the war of myths and the machine of death — so do it today and not tomorrow. But with further regret it is not expected at all, for those raised to sanctify parties at the expense of the sanctity of blood will not do it — they are of the spider’s same type and its narrative, albeit according to its own narrative and logic.
